At-Risk Young Adults
The program aims to find the youths the right mentor who can guide and support them in achieving their career aspirations. HELP's impact is evident through the considerable number of students they have assisted – over 4,500 kids have been taken to more than one hundred work sites, while more than one hundred disabled youth have found custom-tailored jobs.
HELP collaborates with the Nueces County Juvenile Justice system, the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services, and various schools to provide future leaders with first-hand knowledge and experience in potential career paths. The impact of HELP's work is felt throughout the community, with countless young individuals expressing their gratitude for the opportunities and guidance they received, and for the brighter future they now have.
The passion and dedication of HELP's founder, Dr. Ridge Hammons, who once served as a teacher and administrator for 15 years, fueled the organization's commitment to making a lasting difference in young people's lives. By putting kids where the opportunity is, HELP goes beyond traditional educational approaches, offering shared experiences of successful work by industry experts who are willing to impart their expertise.
Our collaboration with HELP represents a powerful union of shared values, compassion, and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of children and their communities. Through our joint efforts, we will extend our reach and provide even more vital support, educational resources, and growth opportunities to young individuals in need.
